Keeping our planet healthy plays a big part in our decisions. We love to make fun soaps, bath products and amazing smelling items for your home. We also search for responsibly harvested, natural, and healthy ingredients for our products – and our packaging. It may look like plastic wrap around our bars of soap – but it is compostable! (Depending on the facilities available in your area of course). We try to use as little plastic as possible, so you will see things like alternative bubble wrap and fabric packaging.
Terri’s a bit of a health nut, preferring “natural” remedies such as “real” and nutritious food to a pill, and home-grown organic herbs and essential oils for health and beauty products. After all, our skin is our largest organ, so it matters what we put on our bodies. We won’t make anything we wouldn’t use ourselves!
Terri’s love of antiques and glassware began with some of the women you will see featured in the collections on our website. Strong women, influenced by the Great Depression, taught her the value of well-made things, repaired and re-used. The secondary lesson was creativity! Each of these women had their own style, and sometimes had to dig deep to achieve it. We have tried to capture that in their collections.
While all of these women passed by the time Terri reached her 20’s, their lessons live on – and the journey of Lola James has been an amazing opportunity for Terri to teach Jessica about her grandmothers.
